About Us 

The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is a student-led national organization that is committed to advancing medical education and advocating for healthcare reform. Founded in 1950, AMSA empowers medical students across the country to take leadership roles in addressing critical healthcare issues. AMSA provides various resources for aspiring physicians such as 101 workshops, speaker panels, networking events, volunteer opportunities, and medical school trips. Through fostering professional development, encouraging activation in healthcare policy, and embarking the journey to a career in healthcare, AMSA creates a safe and supportive community to lean on.
